LEE
YOUNG

Lee
Young's art career started in Manassas, Virginia, where she took private
lessons in painting in oils and pastels. For a period of time, she was
engaged in unrelated business ventures and did not immediately pursue a
professional art career, but continued to maintain her skills through
constant practice and study.
In 1986, she moved to Florida where she started painting full time. Her
work includes oils, acrylics, watercolors, three dimensional molding,
and giclee'. She has sold her work to a wide variety of buyers, from
private individuals to large corporations. The emphasis in her work is
functionality through color.
"When I first came to Florida, I saw the white ribbons of concrete
highways, the white billowing clouds against an azure sky, palm trees
standing tall on a sugar sand beach and felt the air touching my skin
with a soft caress. It was really a breathtaking experience; an
inspiration I wanted to turn into an artistic achievement."
