CASSANDRA HALL
From
her two-story Victorian home, Cassandra Hall sits in the shade of her
wraparound porch. Sipping ice tea with homegrown mint, she casts an
appraising eye over her gardens. Her California poppies have exploded
into a riot of bright red and stand out sharply against the dark green
of the lilac's leaves. The hollyhocks hue under the trellis.
A blue jay inspects the birdhouse while finches and larger birds vie
over the feeder.
Cassandra's inspiration is just outside her back door. With a light and
sensitive touch, she dabs and dashes with oil pastels to create rich,
romantic, images. Each hand-drawn painting is alight with lively,
feathery strokes, rendered with an impressionistic flair.
To Cassandra, each painting is the opportunity to capture the beauty . .
.
to
keep it, before the blossoms fade.
