BILL GIMBEL
Born and raised in
Philadelphia, PA, he attended the Studio School of Art and Design and
Fleisher Memorial in Philadelphia.
He worked as a product
designer and illustrator for a major plexiglas manufacturer and as a
free-lance artist, painting everything from portraits to murals.
An award winning artist,
Bill has been a full time resident of Punta Gorda since 1997. He is
constantly inspired by the wonder and beauty of the area, and his
inventive and inquisitive nature often leads his art down an
experimental path. In addition to his acrylic paintings, he enjoys
working with oils, pastels, pencil, pen and ink, and sculpture as well.
His works can be found in
many private collections, corporations and public areas.
Bill is a member of the
Charlotte County Art Guild and the Sea Grape Gallery, both in Punta
Gorda. His paintings can be viewed at the Gallery as well as in
competition at the Visual Art Center.
"I want my paintings to
grasp you and pull you into the art work and make you feel that you are
actually there experiencing the event"
