THE ART OF CAST PAPER
In essence, cast paper is a combination of
fine sculpting techniques and the ancient science of paper-making.
A highly skilled artist translates the
original design into a "bas-relief" sculpture.

here to read about the artists who created our molds.
When the desired effect has been achieved,
a master mold is created. From the master mold, each of the releases is
produced using a mixture of acid-free, 100% cotton linter which has been
cut and beaten to exact specifications in our own factory.
It is
then poured into molds and dried.
Individually pulled and colored by hand,
each cast paper sculpture will have its own unique characteristics, a
common element to all fine art originals.
Finally, each piece is
framed
in our production department for shipping to our customers (gift shops,
galleries, decorators, etc.)
For your convenience,
we've organized our Cast Paper artwork,
including F,P&G (described
below) into albums.

Faux, Painted & Glazed Cast Paper
(F,P&G)
All F,P&G handmade, cast paper artwork is
treated to bring out all of the detail of the artwork. Pieces processed
as "Faux, Painted, & Glazed" are painted or antiqued, then glazed to
provide a soft sheen. This additional processing enhances the detail
even more.
